We are seeking a Regional General Manager to lead our hotels in New Zealand (Auckland Airport Wellington Queenstown) and Sydney Australia with a home base in Auckland. This is a hands on leadership role for a seasoned operator ready to coach inspire and drive operational excellence across a dynamic portfolio.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group COO you will be the strategic and operational heartbeat of our AU & NZ cluster. You will coach and lead on property teams ensure consistent brand delivery and drive revenue profitability and guest satisfaction all while creating a high performance positive culture.

Key Responsibilities..

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations service standards and guest experience across Auckland Airport Wellington Queenstown and Sydney properties.
  • Team Coaching & Development: Mentor General Managers and their teams; build capability accountability and a unified Naumi culture.
  • Financial & Commercial Performance: Drive revenue growth control costs optimise GOP and deliver accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Brand & Guest Experience: Ensure every property reflects Naumis distinctive personality bold welcoming and memorable.
  • Project Leadership: Support property enhancements renovations and openings with a focus on efficiency and guest impact.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Revenue Marketing People & Performance and Asset teams to align regional goals with group strategy.
  • Compliance & Risk: Uphold safety licensing and regulatory standards across all jurisdictions.
  • Travel: Regular site visits across NZ and Sydney (20-30% travel expected).

Who You Are..

  • Proven Hospitality Leader: 10 years in multi-property or regional hotel management with strong GM experience in boutique or lifestyle hotels.
  • AU/NZ Market Expert: Deep knowledge of the New Zealand and Australian hospitality landscape; existing networks a plus.
  • People Champion: Exceptional at coaching developing and uniting teams across locations and cultures.
  • Commercial Acumen: Track record of driving revenue managing P&L and delivering consistent financial results.
  • Hands-On & Strategic: Equally comfortable in the details of daily operations and shaping long term regional strategy.
  • Adaptable & Resilient: Thrive in a fast paced evolving environment with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in PMS (ideally Opera) revenue systems and reporting tools.
  • Eligible to Work: Must have full working rights in New Zealand (role based in Auckland).
