The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the Strategic Infrastructure and Develop (SID) project teams within Build Nova Scotia (BNS). They will contribute to the successful execution of various infrastructure projects. This position will coordinate work for a variety of engineering projects and assist in developing standard project documentation resource cost and performance management. The Project Coordinator will be actively involved in project planning work coordination scheduling inspections cost management and working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Project Coordination:
1. Coordinate and track tendering processes.
2. Supporting municipal public consultation processes.
3. Overseeing contractor work on-site.
4. Coordinating technical resources for installation and commissioning work.
5. Assist in the planning execution and monitoring and reporting of projects from initiation to completion.
6. Coordinate project activities resources and information to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
7. Facilitate communication between project stakeholders team members and leadership.
General Support:
1. Access coordination and work scheduling for all sites in the program.
2. Assist in the review of contractor documentation (safety insurance etc.)
3. Coordinating tasks deliverables decisions to keep the project moving forward.
4. Assist in the on-site inspection and review of contractor work.
5. Assist in tracking project costs.
Other Program requirements:
1. Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans schedules status reports and risk assessments.
2. Ensure project documentation is accurate up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
3. Supporting field staff on deployments as needed.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
1. Develop and generate regular reports on project progress key performance indicators (KPIs) and overall program performance.
2. Identify areas for improvement and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
Risk Management:
1. Ensure project documentation is accurate up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
2. Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans schedules status reports and risk assessments.
