Adjunct Faculty (Online) - Nutrition Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications fora part-time adjunct faculty position in Biology for our online program. The successful candidate willhave experience teaching undergraduate coursesin biology. The teaching responsibility will be HLTH 240 Nutrition a general education course. Topics for this course include nutritional needs across the human life span and strategies for promotion and maintenance of for the 8-week course begin March 6th 2026. Teaching contracts may be renewed on a semester-by-semester basis pending enrollment instructor availability and student success. The successful candidate will: - Hold a Ph.D. in Biology or Health Science or a masters degree with 18 graduate hours in a related field.
- Have experience teaching online.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Have experience teaching undergraduate courses.
- Have experience with Course Management Systems such as Blackboard Canvas or D2L.
- Be firmly committed to high-quality instruction for first-generation college students and be familiar with best practices in active learning pedagogies.
