  • Temporary role up to June 2027 - Full-time at 35 hours per week plus FlexTime
  • Located in Parramatta or regional office location by negotiation with hybrid working supported
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $149739 to $173174 super

Opportunity to join the Natural Resource Access Regulator (NRAR) that enforces NSW water laws and offers guidance and education to help water users comply. NRARs Regulatory Policy team is currently seeking to appoint a Manager Regulatory Policy to lead a team with responsibility for developing evidence-based regulatory and other policy proposals to address issues affecting NRARs ability to be an effective efficient transparent and accountable regulator.

They are also responsible for engaging with the Water Group at the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water on new policy and legislative proposals by the department to advocate for NRARs strategic interests particularly the enforceability of any proposed legislative reforms.

About You

To be successful in the role you will have extensive experience in compliance and regulatory policy and operations with the ability to ensure seamless integration of strategic regulatory and operational policy through close collaboration with the other policy managers and their teams.

As a naturally good communicator with policy expertise you have the demonstrated ability to effectively advocate for an organisations interests when engaging with others on new policy proposals and initiatives.

You have experience and a reputation for providing accurate policy advice and recommendations on a range of complex issues given the need to understand the problem and formulate responses within short-time frames.

Essential Requirements

  • Current NSW Driver Licence and some travel throughout the state is required
