POSITION TITLE: Registrar - High School
EXEMPTION STATUS: Non-exempt
REPORTS TO: Campus Administrator Assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months
Primary Purpose
Maintain student records and process student enrollment transfers and withdrawals.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
Ability to use computer and software to develop spreadsheets databases and perform word processing
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Effective organizational communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Experience
One to three years related experience and/or training preferably in a public education environment
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Records and Reports
- Enter data on student enrollment and withdrawals in accordance with district policy and in compliance with state reporting standards.
- Input and maintain data for PEIMS accountability.
- Input credits as needed.
- Assist with leaver accounting.
- Maintain accurate transcript data.
- Request receive maintain and process information from students for diplomas.
- Assist in compiling information for preparing various reports.
- Send and request student records.
- Assist parents students and former students requesting transcripts and other school records.
- Maintain accurate complete and neat paper and electronic files.
Clerical Support
- Receive incoming calls and faxes take reliable messages and route appropriately.
- Assist with planning and organizing special events such as top ten percent banquet and graduation.
- Perform clerical duties as assigned.
Professional Growth and Development
- Participate in professional learning activities to improve job-related skills and demonstrate interest and initiative in professional improvement.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and special events as assigned.
Communication
- Establish and maintain appropriate communication and a professional relationship with students parents and colleagues.
- Present for students a positive role model that supports the mission of the district and demonstrate behavior that is professional ethical and responsible as set out in the Texas Educator Code of Ethics.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student and district information.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional standing kneeling/squatting bending/stooping pushing/pulling twisting
Motion: Occasional walking; frequent repetitive hand motions keyboarding use of mouse wrist flexion/extension
Lifting: Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds without assistance 30-55 pounds with assistance and more than 55 pounds with appropriate assistance
Environment: Work in office setting; occasional exposure to contagious diseases
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruption
