Specific Position Duties:

• Experience teaching split grades is an asset
• Experience/training in elementary literacy and numeracy instruction
• Experience in differentiated instruction is an asset

Qualifications and General Duties:

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Experience working with Google Suite
• Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizinglearning in a safe and caring environment
• Experience and/or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies embedded formative assessment and varied summative assessments is essential
• Possessa strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning
• Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professionalrelationships with students
• Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectivenessas an educator
• A willingness to participate in extracurricularactivities would be considered an asset

Vermilion Elementary School is a K-6 school with approximately 265 students. Our students at Vermilion Elementary School are supported by a VIBE (Vermilion Is Being Empowered) Coach Social Emotional Coaches and a therapy assistant who provides programming for students in the areas of Speech and Language Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. Vermilion Play Development (playschool before and after school care and Kindercare) is also housed within the dedicated team is here to support families in whatever they need.
