Finance Lead Corporate & Support

Location: Brisbane
Tenure: 12-month fixed term contract (with potential for extension)

About the role: Join Aurizons CFO & Strategy division as a Finance Lead Corporate & Support where youll play a pivotal role in partnering with the business to drive strategic financial outcomes across the Group.

Reporting to the Finance Manager Corporate Support & Capital youll lead a small team and work closely with senior stakeholders across the centralised business units to deliver accurate timely and insightful financial reporting. Youll champion continuous improvement embed best-practice processes and deliver insights that drive performance within a complex ASX-listed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team to deliver high-quality timely financial partnering and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and effectiveness of finance partnering services provided to key stakeholders.
• Provide financial oversight and advice to support planning reporting and budgeting including multi-year budget and periodic forecasts.
• Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.

• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide decision support financial analysis and insights.

About you

Youll bring a strong foundation in finance partnering and proven leadership capability ideally gained in a complex corporate environment. You thrive on problem-solving collaborating across teams and lifting the performance and capability of those around you.

Were looking for someone with:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting Finance or a related discipline (mandatory).
• CPA or CA qualification (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years multidiscipline finance experience including leading a team of similar size.
• Financial literacy modelling and analytical skills to provide highly relevant insights into business performance.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and budgetary processes and procedures particularly in relation to financial systems and business processes for a large organisation.
• Excellent communication stakeholder management and decision-making skills.
