Brief Overview of type of faculty position we are seeking:

The Biology Department of the School of Sciences and Health Professions at Simmons University is seeking applicants for an adjunct instructor position in the Biology Department to teach Biol 104 - Introduction to Environmental Science effective January 13th 2026 and end May 18 2026.

Course Description

Biol 104 - Introduction to Environmental Science introduces basic principles of ecology and environmental science relevant to the interactions between humans and their environment unity and interconnections of life and processes that drive ecological health. Relevance of ecology to todays society with emphasis on natural resource use conservation and the relationships of ecological health to human health.

Responsibilities: The adjunct instructor will be responsible for lecturing and leading in class discussions on Mondays and Fridays for Biol 104 from 2:00PM to 3:20PM.

Requirements: Masters or Ph.D. degree experience teaching Environmental Science courses.

Preferred Qualifications: experience teaching Introduction to Environmental Science .

Compensation: $6300
