Job Summary

Are you ready to kickstart your career in the civil construction industry where you can earn while you learn This exciting entry-level role provides the perfect pathway for those looking to build a long-term career in the civil construction space. This hands-on role will provide valuable training and experience in the construction and maintenance of local infrastructure including concrete footpaths kerb and gutter drainage systems and general civil works.

As a Civil Construction Apprentice youll learn on the job from our experienced team while completing formal learning to obtain a nationally recognised qualification in Civil Construction. Youll gain practical skills in:

  • Formwork and concrete finishing for footpaths kerbs and gutters
  • Pipe laying and drainage installation
  • Site preparation and general labouring duties
  • Safe operation of tools plant and equipment
  • Workplace health and safety procedures in civil works environments

About You:

Were looking for someone with a strong work ethic a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in building a career in the civil construction industry. Youll enjoy working outdoors taking pride in producing quality work and be a reliable team addition you will also meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Year 10 standard of education is essential Year 12 standard of education is desirable.
  • Ability to complete theory and practical work units associated with the Certificate being studied.
  • Commitment to the full term of the apprenticeship and study requirements.
  • Good level of physical fitness to undertake manual labour and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of a range of hand and power tools.
  • The ability to problem-solve and take initiative with a positivecan-do attitude.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and to following instructions.
  • Commitment to upholding our organisational values.
  • Current Manual Drivers Licence (P1 or above required or commitment to obtaining).
  • WHS General Construction Induction (White Card).
