POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinic Resource Nurse has a multifaceted role within the Urology Clinic incorporating the components of clinical practices efficiencies with back-office workflows consultations education research and current regulatory standards into the care of Urology patient populations. The nurse collaborates with the Ambulatory Leadership and Urology Medical Director to promote and provide optimal care in the Urology Clinic. They support organizational goals department goals and decisions implement necessary changes to back-office workflows and participate in strategic planning for service needs and resource utilization. The nurse acts as an advisor on demonstrating compliance with regulatory standards in the Urology Clinic. They assist with developing and supporting clinic projects policies procedures and programs that are related to systems within Enloe Health and the Urology Clinic. The nurse provides clinical oversight and support to clinicians in the Urology Clinic. The Resource Nurse work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical departments and department leadership in the design implementation and use of hospital systems related to ambulatory operations clinical initiatives and provider/staff efficiencies. The nurse assists with regulatory readiness survey preparation and acts as a resource during survey visits.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Two years clinical nursing experience
Desired:
Bachelors or masters degree in nursing
Two years acute care clinical nursing experience
Two years hospital or health care setting experience in case/quality/risk or utilization management
Recent experience and/or service on organizational committees
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
Current CPR certification
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must be able to effectively monitor evaluate and administer the resources of their assigned area and make substantiated recommendations regarding resource allocation needs for future planning purposes. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes is necessary as well as the ability to successfully integrate these into practice for the assigned unit. Must have knowledge of or ability to support quality improvement processes. Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally both one-on-one and in groups. Must have the ability to train new staff motivate delegate analyze information and problem solve. Must demonstrate technical competence professional clinical judgment. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Health core values. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
