Principal Process Engineer

Ingredion Inc. seeks Principal Process Engineer in North Kansas City MO

Job Duties: Principal Process Engineer leads technical support across a broad range of processes and technologies in multiple Ingredion facilities across all Ingredion segments to meet manufacturing quality safety and cost goals. Considered Subject Matter Expert (SME) in some specific processes. Supports process and equipment troubleshooting optimization design and control development and review of projects and support during and after major project implementation. Provides a high level of technical leadership through mentoring leading multi-discipline teams solving technical challenges and ensuring Ingredion applies the best technologies in its business segments globally. Develops and optimizes process designs material and energy balances flow diagrams P&IDs equipment selection capital and operating cost estimates and process control strategies for all existing processes. Demonstrates experience in the Water & Wastewater treatment systems design Installation operation and management as well as in other utilities such as natural gas steam and plant air systems. Leads multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex technical problems and implement solutions. Develops process alternatives to improve the financial benefits of business decisions validating the benefits with Finance Accounting and other business partners. Actively engage stakeholders on complex business issues and drive collaboration to ensure the best solution is delivered. Leads deviation treatment to solve the most complex problems across multiple sites and implements sustainable solutions in collaboration with local teams. Develops prioritized Best Operating Practices (BOP) and critical routines provides training of their application and supports the implementation and adherence tracking. Part-time telecommuting is an option. Hybrid work from Ingredion offices in Kansas City MO.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Biotechnology Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) SAP PM Module; (2) ISO 14001 ISO 22001 and ISO 9001; (3) Process Optimization; (4) Process Simulation; (5) Implement Water and Wastewater Maintenance and Reliability; (6) Project Management; (7) Lean Six Sigma; (8) Corn Wet Milling; (9) Utilities systems; (10) Data modeling and analysis; and (11) Failure Mode and Effect Analysis. Any suitable combination of education training and experience is acceptable. Part-time telecommuting is an option. Hybrid work from Ingredion offices in North Kansas City MO.

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

As a part of the total compensation package this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
