About the Role

Twitch is seeking a strategic communications leader to head our global this role youll define how Twitch shows up from traditional media and podcasts to community forums and the countless places where internet culture is made and conversation happens in real time.

Youll set the strategy for how Twitch is represented across regions shaping narratives managing complex issues and amplifying the voices of our creators and communities. This means understanding not just what stories to tell but where and how to tell them in an increasingly fractured media landscapeknowing when to engage when to let conversations unfold and how to build influence across platforms where traditional playbooks dont always apply.

Reporting to the CMO and working closely with senior leadership youll protect and grow Twitchs reputation build trust with key stakeholders and align communications with broader business priorities. Youll be an informed authoritative voice in the room.

Leading a high-performing global team and network of agency partners youll oversee media relations distribution strategy issues management and unearth compelling storylines that resonate across diverse audiencesfrom creators and press to advertisers regulators and employees. Youll collaborate with regional leaders to localize messaging and ensure global narratives land with relevance and impact.

You can work from Twitchs headquarters in San Francisco CA; or from one of our US based hub locations in Seattle WA; Irvine CA; Los Angeles CA or New York City NY.

You Will

- Direct and implement global communications strategies that promote Twitch our service and offerings and the community
- Develop cohesive and compelling narratives that land with press the community and Twitch employees
- Advise on strategic business decisions and direct company response on crises and emerging issues
- Establish an understanding of Twitchs community product and business
- Be a trusted strategic advisor to peers and executives
- Work and think globally and oversee roster of agencies
- Inspire support and develop a team of Comms professionals

- 10 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- 10 years of experience in public relations or communications including leadership roles at global companies or agencies
- Executive presence and the ability to influence at the highest levels
- An expansive understanding of communications that goes far beyond press releasesyoure fluent in how influence works across social platforms forums and emerging channels
- Deep knowledge of global media and internet culture; youre dialed in to whats trending and whats driving conversation
- A keen observer of the creator economy with your finger on the pulse of whats happening now
- Sharp editorial judgment and fluency in navigating complex fast-moving issues
- Strong relationships with media and an understanding of what moves the needle
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams with empathy and clarity
- Genuine enthusiasm for Twitchs mission our creators and the communities we serve

- Experience working with or as a creator or on a creator-first platform
- Familiarity with international policy regulatory or reputational challenges facing digital platforms
- Background in entertainment gaming or cultural storytelling

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
