Product Designer
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for design innovation and sustainability Join the Detmold Groups dynamic Product & Brand team at our cutting-edge LaunchPad facility in Brompton where creativity meets purpose.
Were seeking a Product Designer to help shape the future of packaging. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate in Industrial or Product Design (or equivalent) to kickstart their career in a collaborative fast-paced environment.
What Youll Do
- Design and develop innovative packaging solutions and prototypes.
- Create and manipulate 2D and 3D CAD files to bring concepts to life.
- Lead innovation for key accounts engaging directly with customers.
- Produce high-quality paper and board packaging prototypes using advanced equipment.
- Work across a suite of business systems including ArtiosCAD WebCenter Print IQ Salesforce QAD DetInform and Adobe Suite.
- Operate prototyping tools such as the Kongsberg Cutting Table 3D Printer and Vacuum Former.
- Learn product estimating to understand the commercial impact of design decisions.
- Deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
What Youll Bring
Essential:
- A degree in Industrial/Product Design or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to translate 2D concepts into 3D prototypes.
- Advanced digital skills especially in 2D/3D CAD platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
Desirable:
- Experience with packaging-specific CAD platforms.
- Exposure to packaging design and/or manufacturing environments.
