Polysomnographic Technologist (Night Shift)
Location: Concord NH 03301
Duration: 13-Weeks Contract
Schedule: 12-hr Nights 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week guaranteed
Weekly Pay Range: $1728 $1872; (Negotiable based on experience)
Position Summary:
The Polysomnographic Technologist is responsible for performing comprehensive polysomnographic testing analysis and associated interventions under the general supervision of a clinical director or designee. The technologist will ensure the accurate collection of data monitor patients throughout sleep studies and provide high-quality diagnostic information to support the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complete accurate and high-quality sleep studies (PSG CPAP/BiPAP titration MSLT MWT etc.) according to established protocols.
- Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments if necessary.
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards.
- Monitor and document patient activity physiological data and any significant events throughout the night.
- Recognize sleep stages respiratory events cardiac events limb movements and arousals in real-time.
- Respond to patient needs during studies and maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Score sleep records using standard AASM guidelines and generate reports for physician review.
- Maintain and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team regarding patient findings and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Required Certification:
- RPSGT Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (Active credential)
- BLS Basic Life Support (Current and valid)
- Experience:
- Experience with Cerner PowerChart and Cerner Rev Cycle EMR systems preferred
- Prior travel or contract experience.
- Minimum of 1 2 years of experience in polysomnography or sleep technology specialty Required
