Cisco Network Engineer
Position Overview:
- A Cisco-focused network engineer/architect for a 6-month staff augmentation engagement.
- The resource will help backfill a critical role that was impacted by recent employee departure.
- This person needs to hit the ground running supporting ongoing projects and network architecture initiatives within Clients broadcast infrastructure.
- Intends to retain Cisco as their core network infrastructure.
- This team supports all networking needs across multiple production areas.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a Cisco routing and architecture expert supporting multiple concurrent network projects.
- Work within the broadcast center on Cisco Leaf Spine infrastructure assisting with: Network switching/replacements/migration efforts.
- Transition from Avaya & Arista to Cisco transmission control targeted for Q1.
- Collaborate closely with Clients networking teams supporting Client shows Sports and News divisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Provide network design expertise with: OSPF BGP Multicast route filters AWS Direct Connect/Cloud connectivity routing.
- Basic understanding of FW (Firepower and Linux).
- Partner with existing internal advisor who originally helped build out the network environment.
- Strong hands-on Cisco routing/switching expertise.
- Experience architecting complex network environments.
- Experience with broadcast or media network environments.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to a dynamic project-heavy environment.
