Job Title: Network Infrastructure Engineer

Network Infrastructure Engineer:
Responsibilities:
As an Infrastructure Engineer Active participation and contribution in team discussions are required along with providing solutions to work-related problems.
Advanced proficiency in Network Operations Center (NOC) is required.
Advanced proficiency in Wireless Technologies Operations is recommended.
Additionally beginner proficiency in Palo Alto Networks Operations and advanced proficiency in Wide Area Network (WAN) are suggested.
Expectations: The resource is expected to be available onsite (Bethesda MD) during standard business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST Monday through Friday).
On days when onsite support is required for scheduled changes occurring after 8:00 PM EST the resource is not required to adhere to the standard 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. Instead they are expected to be available and provide support during the change window as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technology components.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of data center technologies to ensure optimal performance.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance data center operations.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all technology components and processes.
Provide training and support to team members on new technologies and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Onsite Physical Support
Perform hands-on tasks such as cabling device resets module replacements and visual inspections.
Act as the onsite liaison for remote engineers during troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
Incident Management
Assist in resolving operational incidents by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support for network devices during outages or performance degradation.
Device & Infrastructure Maintenance
Support installation and configuration of LAN WLAN SD-WAN Firewalls and smart network devices.
Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
Monitoring & Reporting
Validate device status and connectivity as per NOC instructions.
Report anomalies and assist in proactive monitoring activities.
Documentation
Update runbooks diagrams and knowledge articles for onsite activities.
