Youre a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong sense of financial control contract management and project costing. Youre calm under pressure have strong communication skills and enjoy working cross-functionally with teams contractors and clients. What youll be doing (and why youll enjoy it)
Youll take charge of project cost management from estimating and budgeting to forecasting and reporting. Youll handle quantity take-offs manage contracts evaluate tenders and claims and process variation orders. Working closely with project teams youll track profitability support procurement and conduct site visits to verify progress and costs. Youll also mentor a Junior Quantity Surveyor and ensure documentation is always accurate and compliant. Its a critical role where your attention to detail and commercial insight will make a real impact.
Where youll be doing it
Youll be based at theirofficeandfacilities in Epping Cape Town working Monday to Friday with an early finish on Fridays. This is a well-established company in the electrical sector with a national footprint and over 200 employees. The Cape Town office has a close-knit team culture with a collaborative environment and strong emphasis on internal growth. The company is an industry leader experiencing steady growth with a reputation for quality and custom solutions across multiple sectors.
What youll need
A Matric certificate plus a degree diploma or BTech in Quantity Surveying is required. Youll bring 510 years ofquantity surveyingexperience ideally in the electrical or construction space with solid knowledge of estimating contract administration and cost control. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
