This contract position is based in Lakewood and requires an on-site working mode offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital area of healthcare.
As a Locum Neurosurgeon you will play a critical role in providing high-quality surgical care to patients with neurological conditions. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures on patients with neurological disorders
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and consultations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
- Monitor post-operative recovery and manage complications
- Participate in patient education and support initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Stay current with advancements in neurosurgery and related fields
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of operation
- Board certification in Neurosurgery or eligibility for certification
- Previous experience in a neurosurgical setting preferred
- Strong surgical skills and proficiency in neurosurgical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
Level I trauma
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts 7a-7a
Case Types: General neurosurgery trauma and spine
Required Procedures: EVD placement bolt placement for intracranial pressure monitoring CLEM craniectomies craniotomies spines IC management of severe TBI patients brain tumors
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
