Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Locum Emergency Medicine Physician in Mt. Pleasant MI

This locum position offers a unique opportunity to work at a provisional level 4 trauma center with a supportive environment for physicians including an established Float Pool for ongoing PRN shifts. The facility has a daily average patient volume of 54 with a total of 20000 annual ER visits and is well-equipped to handle a variety of emergencies. Job Responsibilities:

Provide emergency care to patients in the ER.
Work collaboratively with a team of physicians midlevel providers and support staff.
Supervise midlevel providers on duty.
Respond to house codes and emergency situations as needed.
Coordinate admissions with hospitalists and handle limited bridging orders.
Ensure proper documentation and patient care in compliance with hospital protocols.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with at least 2 years of relevant ER experience.
Must have a clean background for quick credentialing.
Local candidates preferred with no exceptions.
Availability based on the provided dates.
Current MI Medical License at the time of credentialing.
ATLS/PALS certifications required for non-EM boarded physicians.
Required documentation should be presented upon request.

License and Certification Requirements:

MI Medical License (no exceptions not accepting IMLC).
DEA Registration Confirmed at Name Clear.
ATLS and PALS certification (for non-EM boarded physicians).
Completing the necessary Employee Health Requirements including vaccinations and TB testing.
