Job Summary

The Senior Systems Administrator position provides proactiveWindows System Administration supporting enterprise IT environments. This role requires deep expertise inWindows Server administration virtualization hypervisor-level networkingActive Directory andFailover Clustering. This role requires prior experience integratingSAN/NAS storageinto virtual environments working withSCCM participating inDisaster Recovery (DR) drills and leading infrastructure projects.

The Senior Systems Administrator reports into Senior Manager IT Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administers maintains and troubleshootsWindows Server environments(2016/2019/2022).
  • Configures and managesHyper-VandNutanixvirtualization platforms.
  • Designs and maintainsvirtual networkingwithin hypervisors (VLANs virtual switches).
  • IntegratesSAN/NAS storageinto virtual environments in collaboration with the Storage Team.
  • Configures and maintainsWindows Failover Clustersfor high availability and resilience.
  • ManagesActive DirectoryGroup PolicyDNS andDHCPservices.
  • UtilizesSCCMfor software deployment patching and asset management.
  • Participates in and leadDisaster Recovery drills ensuring readiness and documentation.
  • Leads infrastructure-related projects including planning execution and cross-team coordination.
  • Collaborates withvendorsfor hardware/software procurement support and implementation.
  • Works withServiceNOWfor incident change and request management; maintain accurateCMDBrecords.
  • Provides Tier 2/3 support and participate in on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Relevant experience includes experience as aWindows System Administratorin enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding ofvirtual networkingwithin hypervisors.
  • Hands-on experience withHyper-VNutanix andWindows Failover Clustering.
  • Solid knowledge ofActive DirectoryGroup Policy and domain services.
  • Experience integratingSAN/NAS storageinto virtual environments.
  • Proficiency withSCCMfor endpoint and patch management.
  • Demonstrated experience withDisaster Recovery drills.
  • Proven ability tolead projectsand work effectively withvendors.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong understanding ofvirtual networkingwithin hypervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity withServiceNOWandCMDBpractices.
  • Exposure toAzureandAWScloud platforms.
  • Certifications for exampleMCSAMCSECompTIA NetworkAzure Administrator Associate orAWS Solutions Architect.
  • Prior experience withPowerShell scriptingand automation.
  • Exposure to cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure strategies.
  • Familiarity withServiceNOWandCMDBpractices.
  • Exposure toAzureandAWScloud platforms.
