About this job
Technopolis Group is seeking anexperienced Senior or Principal Consultant to join our Climate Energy & Environmental Transition Team in Brussels. You will contribute to high-profile projects for European and international clients and play a key role in growing our portfolio of work through business development. Your work will shape policies advancing environmental resilience climate adaptation biodiversity and sustainable resource management.

Our clientsinclude EU institutions such as the European Commission (DG ENV DG CLIMA DG MARE DG GROW) the European Parliament European Environment Agency CINEA OECD EIB and others. Our work spans policy research evaluation programme design and technical assistance all aimed at supporting a green sustainable and competitive Europe.
Your profile
You are an experienced policy professional or consultant with a strong background in climate and environmental policy and a proven ability to generate new business opportunities and lead projects.

We are looking for candidates who bring:
  • A Masters degree in environmental science ecological economics sustainability studies or a related field.
  • At least five years relevant professional experience in consultancy policy research or applied research with demonstrable success in business development and securing contracts.
  • Solid experience in policy and programme design evaluation and impact assessment ideally with familiarity with the EU Better Regulation framework.
  • Proven ability to develop client relationships identify opportunities and write winning proposals and tenders.
  • Strongquantitative and/or qualitative research skills with experience translating complex data into actionable insights for policymakers.
  • Excellent communication analytical and writing skills producing clear and compelling reports and policy papers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks deliver high-quality work under pressure and collaborate effectively in multicultural teams.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
  • The right to live and work in the EU.
Your responsibilities
Your role combines project leadership analytical work and business development. Depending on your seniority you will:

Drive business development and strategic growth
  • Lead efforts to identify new business opportunities and expand our client base.
  • Prepare and submit winning proposals and tenders for EU and international clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients partners and external experts.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of our Climate Energy & Environmental Transition practice.
  • Play a visible role in positioning Technopolis Group as a trusted partner for high-impact EU projects.
Lead and deliver projects
  • Manage and deliver high-quality consulting assignments on climate environmental and biodiversity policies.
  • Design and apply innovative methodological approaches to answer complex policy questions.
  • Conduct research interviews data analysis and stakeholder consultations.
  • Draft analytical reports and policy papers for clients and decision-makers.
  • Oversee project delivery budgets and timelines to ensure excellence.
Support team development
  • Mentor and support junior colleagues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Technopolis Groups international offices to deliver impactful cross-border projects.
