About the Opportunity

Were looking for a driven and future-focused Account Manager to join our Food this role youll be the trusted advisor and primary relationship lead for a portfolio of independent retailers delivering exceptional value and driving sustainable growth across the network.

In this Role

  • Own and manage a portfolio of customer accounts acting as the primary point of contact
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned to customer and Metcash strategies
  • Drive commercial outcomes including merchandising activations campaigns and digital initiatives
  • Provide advisory support across store operations including P&L rostering and compliance
  • Champion community programs consumer promotions and sustainability initiatives
  • Ensure adoption of Channel Standards OEP and FSA compliance
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver holistic customer support
  • Attend key seasonal events such as Expo and Easter activations

Youre Likely a Match If

  • Proven experience in account management business development or sales
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail economics (e.g. CODB margin pricing)
  • Experience working with multi-site or franchise retailers
  • Strategic relationship management and influencing skills
  • Ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A collaborative proactive and customer-focused mindset
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and operational excellence
