Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Enrollment Experience leads transformational enrollment initiatives through AI-powered analytics strategic team leadership and innovative technology integration that optimizes student recruitment and retention outcomes. This role combines direct supervision of enrollment teams with advanced data-driven strategies to create exceptional personalized experiences for prospective and current students. Working at the intersection of enrollment management artificial intelligence and student success this position drives institutional enrollment goals while implementing cutting-edge technologies and best practices that enhance the complete student lifecycle experience. This position reports to the Director of Enrollment Experience and works collaboratively with academic directors student services teams and technology partners. The role includes direct supervision of enrollment experience staff while serving as a strategic partner in institutional enrollment planning and AI implementation initiatives.

Essential Functions

Team Leadership & Strategic Management (35%)

  • Direct Supervision & Development: Provide leadership coaching and professional development for Enrollment Experience Managers and support staff establishing performance goals and accountability measures for enrollment outcomes
  • Strategic Planning & Implementation: Lead enrollment strategy development using AI-powered market analysis predictive modeling and data-driven insights to optimize recruitment and retention performance across assigned programs
  • Training & Technology Integration: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on AI tools enrollment best practices and emerging technologies while ensuring team adoption of innovative platforms and methodologies
  • Performance Management & Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor quality standards for AI-enhanced enrollment processes student interactions and team performance metrics that drive exceptional student experiences

AI-Enhanced Recruitment & Conversion Strategy (30%)

  • Predictive Analytics Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive enrollment strategies using AI-powered forecasting models market intelligence and conversion optimization to exceed recruitment targets
  • Technology-Driven Engagement: Integrate AI tools across all enrollment touchpoints including intelligent chatbots automated communication workflows and personalized messaging systems that enhance prospect engagement effectiveness
  • Conversion Optimization Management: Analyze AI-generated dashboards and performance metrics to continuously optimize recruitment funnels improve yield management and enhance conversion rates through data-driven decision making
  • Omnichannel Strategy Coordination: Oversee integrated communication strategies across multiple platforms using AI-optimized messaging automated follow-up systems and intelligent prospect nurturing campaigns

Student Success & Retention Leadership (25%)

  • AI-Powered Academic Advising Strategy: Support implementation of academic planning systems that create personalized degree roadmaps aligned with student goals course schedules and career objectives
  • Predictive Student Monitoring: Utilize AI analytics platforms to monitor academic progress identify at-risk students and coordinate proactive intervention strategies that improve persistence and completion rates
  • Lifecycle Management Optimization: Oversee comprehensive student support from enrollment through graduation using automated tracking systems AI-enhanced communications and collaborative intelligence with faculty and staff
  • Data-Driven Operations Management: Leverage Banner SIS integration AI analytics platforms and automated workflows to streamline enrollment processes and enhance operational efficiency

Innovation & Process Excellence (10%)

  • Process Automation Leadership: Assist with design and implement automated workflows that increase operational efficiency reduce manual processes and deliver superior student experiences through intelligent automation
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead agile experimentation with emerging AI tools A/B testing methodologies and rapid iteration based on performance data and student feedback
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with academic directors student services and technology teams to align AI-enhanced enrollment initiatives with institutional goals and strategic priorities

  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into strategic enrollment initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of enrollment management student services or related experience with demonstrated success in meeting performance targets and leading teams
  • 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience with demonstrated success in staff development
  • Bachelors degree in higher education business administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 years of enrollment management student services or related experience with demonstrated success in meeting performance targets and leading teams
  • 4 years of supervisory or team leadership experience with demonstrated success in staff development

Working Environment

  • Standard office environment.
  • Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.

Salary Grade Number

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $60000-$72500.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
