Regional Director of Operations

Northern/Central Indiana (3-4 Home Instead Franchisees)

Overview We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Regional Director of Operations to provide strategic leadership and direct operational oversight for 3-4 Home Instead franchise locations across Northern and Central Indiana. This critical role is accountable for the operational and financial performance of a significant regional portfolio managing $6-8 million in annual revenue. The Director will serve as a visionary leader driving operational excellence fostering continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with the overarching mission to positively impact the face of aging. The ideal candidate excels at developing talent driving measurable results and managing complex multi-unit operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational & Financial Oversight

  • Accountable for the regions overall P&L performance overseeing a $6-8 million portfolio to ensure efficient operations maximize profitability and drive strong margins.

  • Develop implement and monitor operational policies and procedures across the 3-4 franchisees to enhance efficiency quality of care and compliance.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to client acquisition retention caregiver satisfaction (CAREGiver experience) and service delivery effectiveness.

  • Ensure all regional operations maintain strict compliance with industry regulations state and local standards and the core values of the Home Instead brand.

2. Leadership and Talent Development

  • Provide direct coaching mentorship and support to the General Managers and key leadership teams within each of the 3-4 franchise locations.

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on leadership development accountability and continuous improvement at the local level.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on process improvement technology adoption and scalability across the entire regional group.

  • Collaborate with HR to support the recruiting hiring and retention strategies for leadership roles within the regional franchises.

3. Strategy and Growth

  • Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute regional strategies for growth market penetration and business development efforts.

  • Identify opportunities for performance optimization and implement corrective actions to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

  • Drive initiatives to maintain and elevate high levels of customer (client and CAREGiver) satisfaction and brand reputation in the Northern/Central Indiana market.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in operations management or a similar multi-unit leadership role preferably within the healthcare senior care or franchise industry.

  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million dollar P&L statements budgets and operational finance.

  • Strategic Planning: Strong background in strategic planning project management and utilizing data to inform decision-making and implement process improvements.

  • Leadership: Exceptional ability to lead mentor and develop high-potential General Managers and leadership teams.

  • Communication: Excellent analytical verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data and strategies clearly to ownership and stakeholders.

  • Education: A Bachelors degree in Business Administration Healthcare Administration or a related field is required; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.

  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the Northern/Central Indiana region to support and visit franchise locations.
