CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor Security provides operational and technical management of patrol operations and assists in managing equipment and selecting and training personnel. This position also provides incident response and oversees facility and occupant safety.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Oversees the training of all new hires.
2. Supervises security officers assigned to patrol duties and performs staff inspections.
3. Administers payroll and scheduling for patrol personnel including performance appraisal of security officers.
4. Maintains and manages performance accountability.
5. Oversees equipment use and maintenance.
6. Enforces all security measures following policies and procedures.
7. Maintains necessary records and strong interface with all departmental supervisors and employees.
8. Reports all security and safety problems pertaining to the efficiency of the department to appropriate senior staff.
9. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

Education:
Bachelors degree in relevant field required
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
Certification and Licensing:

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Performance Management: Ability to set performance goals provide feedback conduct evaluations and effectively delegate tasks.
- Training & Development: Providing employee training and motivation to enhance skills.
- Team Leadership: Ability to create and maintain a cohesive and productive team environment build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with others.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software technology and relevant computer applications.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
