ROLE of the POSITION
The Manager of Student Information Functional Operations plays a key role in the leadership of UNLVs student information systems (branded as MyUNLV powered by Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) with responsibility for managing the functional operations and ensuring MyUNLV effectively supports university administrative and academic objectives. This position provides leadership oversight and subject matter expertise for the functional configuration and business process alignment all Campus Solutions modulesAdmissions Recruitment Registration Financial Aid Academic Advising Student Financials and Campus Community.
The Manager reports to the Senior Director of Student Information and Systems Design and leads the functional lead/business analyst team. This position does not have supervisory responsibility over technical developers the integration team or reporting specialists but works closely with those teams to coordinate efforts and align technical activities with functional needs. The Manager serves as a key liaison between campus business units and the functional support team gathering requirements managing functional enhancement requests ensuring that delivered solutions requirements overseeing system testing and promoting best practices in the use and configuration of Campus Solutions.
This position is integral to supporting the universitys enrollment goals regulatory compliance and student success initiatives through thoughtful stewardship of functional SIS operations. The Manager ensures functional configurations and processes within MyUNLV align with institutional policies data security standards and system best practices. They supervise a team of functional and business analysts providing direction support and professional development to foster a collaborative service-oriented environment. The Manager works closely with stakeholders to communicate functional system updates coordinate testing and training and incorporate feedback into system improvements helping ensure that changes are well understood and effectively implemented across campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires an earned Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in Computer Science Information Systems Business Administration Higher Education Administration or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing or supporting enterprise information systems with at least 3 years specifically in a student information system environment (Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions preferred). This experience should include demonstrated success in leading or participating on projects or teams for system implementation upgrade modifications or enhancements. Candidates should also have substantial exposure to the functional operations of key student services (e.g. admissions registration financial aid) and familiarity with the technical underpinnings of an ERP system like Campus Solutions.
Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
Experience (Preferred):
Over 7 years of experience in higher education information technology including functional experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Experience at an institution similar in size and complexity to UNLV (R1 research university with a diverse student population).
Direct experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 (student administration modules) and Student Financial Planning or other cloud-based ERP student information system solutions.
Leadership or active participation in a major upgrade or module implementation in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or Oracle Student Financial Planning.
Experience with ancillary systems (e.g. CRM systems such as Salesforce learning management systems degree audit tools data warehouses) and their integration with a SIS.
Education (Preferred):
A Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Information Systems or M.S././Ph.D. in Higher Education) is highly desirable as it demonstrates advanced expertise in organizational leadership and technology management.
ACCEPTED EQUIVALENCIES FOR DEGREE REQUIREMENT
UNLV may consider additional relevant experience in place of formal education requirements: In lieu of a bachelors degree applicants may qualify with four additional years of relevant experience or with an associates degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.

In-depth understanding of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions functionality in modules such as Campus Community Student Records Academic Advising Financial Aid and Admissions.
Awareness of compliance and regulatory requirements affecting student systems (e.g. FERPA Title IV IPEDS).
Familiarity with business process documentation and user support best practices.
