Clean Harbors is searching for a reliable and safety orientedI&E Maintenance Technicianwith an excellent INSTRUMENTATION and MECHANICAL aptitude to join ourDickinson TXteam!

TheI&E Maintenance technicianwill be responsible forperforming hands-on instrument checks calibrations and PLC/Delta V programming along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and always acting in a safe manner
  • Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions
  • Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
  • Maintains accurate records and logs as required
  • Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
  • Installs cabling power distribution systems and motor control centers
  • Services and replaces motors and lighting
  • Performs general maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Instrumentation degree or certification preferred
  • 4 years of I&E experience in a plant environment preferred
  • Solid instrumentation skills
  • Experience with PLC Programming experience Delta V is preferred
  • Honeywell experience
  • Distributed control system (DCS) experience required
  • Installing VFDs (Variable Frequency Drive) required
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience
  • Experience working with 480v and below
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics
  • Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams (PID)
  • Team player willing to assist where needed
  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs bend stoop lift climb and stand for long periods of time
