Job Summary

The QC tech will provide administration support of Quality Management System and Documentation for Quality Control. This position is also responsible for working closely with Quality group which includes ensuring documents are reviewed organized and approved appropriately.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Interpret ASTM and customer specifications
Review incoming material test reports (MTR) for accuracy and approval
Input incoming material data into data system
Generate material test reports per specification and customer requirements
Review/Support/ Organize released product records and files
Assist with processing of shop orders
Retrieve material test reports and test reports from internal and external resources
Review destructive and non-destructive lab test reports for accuracy and approval
Promote and comply with the quality management system
Perform record keeping organization and archiving
Perform additional job duties as required and assigned

SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Proficiency with inspection gauges and metrology equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and drawings
Ability to prepare and complete inspection forms and related documentation
Must be detail-oriented and accurate

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Must have high school diploma/GED equivalent; vocational or technical certificate preferred
1 year of experience inspection with metal components required
Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting engineering prints and drawings
Must have MTR experience
