Position Summary Details

The Lead Janitor oversees the custodial team and ensures that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role includes hands-on cleaning duties supervision of janitorial staff scheduling inventory management and coordination with other departments to maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of janitorial staff.
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping mopping vacuuming dusting and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
Inspect facilities regularly to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
Train new custodial staff and provide ongoing guidance and support.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order replacements as needed.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Prepare work schedules and assign tasks to team members.
Report any major repairs or issues to the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

Customer Service Experience
One year of lead or supervisory experience
