Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level Versatile Technologist to support the Information Technology team in Hazelwood Missouri! This role will support the Aerospace Composite Center (ACC).

The Aerospace Composite Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeings Fighter Programs. We are seeking a skilled technologist to join our team supporting the sustainment and modernization activities within the ACC domain. This role is a critical enabler for exciting work related to the production of several of Boeings critical defense products.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze computing requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Consult with teams to determine system needs and specifications.
  • Perform a wide range of technical activities across systems and applications.
  • Install configure and maintain hardware software and system components on multiple platforms.
  • Develop design integrate and maintain computer applications.
  • Plan and prepare software and hardware releases across the system.
  • Ensure systems align with architectural objectives and standards.
  • Evaluate complex systems for production readiness and ongoing supportability.
  • Restore computing service operations from routine to complex incidents.
  • Integrate security solutions into information systems to ensure compliance and protection.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across hardware software and applications.
  • Document system configurations changes and procedures for future reference.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and optimization.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of professional experiencein systems administration application support or related technical roles.
  • Proficiency in installing configuring and maintaininghardware and software across multiple platforms (e.g. Windows Linux cloud environments).
  • Experience with system integration and troubleshootingacross hardware software and applications.
  • Familiarity with release planning and deploymentof software and hardware updates.
  • Ability to document system configurations changes and proceduresclearly and accurately.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsfor evaluating system readiness and resolving technical issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skillsfor working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings late evenings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years of relevant professional experiencein systems administration application support or IT operations.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies(e.g. VMware Hyper-V Docker).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practicesand tools (e.g. CI/CD pipelines configuration management).
  • Experience with monitoring and performance tuningof systems and applications.
  • Certificationssuch as CompTIA Security Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar.
  • Experience with database management(e.g. SQL NoSQL) and data integration.
