DescriptionVehicle Personalization engineer with hands-on experience on working Electrical products hardware & software Electrical architecture Systems & diagnostics. Coordinating the design and development of Electrical Genuine Ford Accessories (GFA) & Ford Licensed Accessories (FLA). Working closely with cross functional team to launch accessories into markets on time & quality.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and release of accessory parts following launch process:
- Coordinating the design and development of Electrical Genuine Ford Accessories & Ford Licensed Accessories.
e.g. Camera Trailer module Wiring 360 camera Parking Sensor Up-fitter switch Streaming mirror etc.
- Create and design new accessory parts to meet all engineering requirements/ timing and complete the release including drawing.
- Modify existing design to meet new marketing assumption raised by individual marketing & planning team
- Execute design in CAD wiring schematics and device transmittal with supplier or CAD team
- Lead on integrating accessories to vehicle systems.
- Take responsibility of part development through validation and launch including problem solving for engineering issues
- Proactive improvement for design cost quality and functions of responsible accessories in production
- Develop commodity-level specific EMC requirements.
- Conduct EMC Design Reviews of components and associated vehicle wiring/packaging. Leverage analytical methods CAE numerical tools and empirical testing to assess robustness.
- Collaborate with suppliers to review upfront design proposals and system tradeoffs to ensure EMC requirements are met.
- Lead and participate in cross functional decision-making team
- Participate build event in different plant for different programs
- Consult with core product development to clarify engineering constraints & requirements for vehicle personalization new accessory design
- Work with Planning/Product development and Program Management to ensure all deliverables can meet each milestone on time.
Qualifications- MS or bachelors degrees in electrical engineering electronics or automobile engineering
- Working experience in auto industry is a plus
- Must have experience inAutomotive electrical system engineering with demonstration of good understanding of vehicle functions H/W & S/W and EE architecture.
- Must have hands-on experience of Electrical diagnostics tools.
- Familiar with CANalyzer CANoe for issue debug.
- Familiar with network communication (CAN/LIN/Ethernet) and diagnostic (UDS).
- EMC experience in E/E commodity design and validation orMSEE with focus on RF systems and electromagnetics.
- Familiarity with automotive EMC standards such as Fords FMC 1278 ISO 7637-4 CISPR 25 CISPR 12 etc
- Knowledge of automotive EMC test procedures such as conducted/radiated emissions and immunity bulk current injection electrostatic discharge transient immunity etc.
- Experience in wiring schematics and match with physical vehicle wiring channels.
- Good communication skill in English on both speaking and writing
- Excellent teamwork and communication & presentation skills in English.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Fast learner. Treats change as an opportunity to learn and develop.
- Willingness to frequent and long-term travel.
- Negotiation skills working with x-functional team and outside supplier
- Computer literacy and competency with the basic Microsoft Office include Word Excel& Power point
