When you join the Highway Records team at Suffolk County Council (SCC) as an Apprentice Data Technician well support your development from the start. Well help you to play to your strengths diversify your skills and build an influential and impactful career. Your role and responsibilities

  • As part of a small welcoming team you will help to manage our mailbox and respond to customer enquiries.

  • Youll raise invoices write to customers and support internal teams with accurate data.

  • You will use our mapping software (MapInfo) to update highway records research historical data and produce plans.

  • Visits to view archives at the Hold in Ipswich to uncover fascinating records. Your research will help determine whether SCC is responsible for maintaining roads trees and ditches.

Your apprenticeship

Apprenticeship course Level 3 Business Administration

Length of apprenticeship 18 months plus 3 months for the end point assessment
