Your role and responsibilities
As a Registration Officer you will work directly with customers and be responsible for the registration of births deaths and marriages. Your responsibilities will cover all legal aspects of registration and dealing with customers on a 1:1 basis during times of heightened and mixed emotions.

In addition to this role you will also have the opportunity to take on a zero-hour Weekend Ceremony contract if you choose to. This is paid at 14.82 per hour.
The additional contract would include conducting and registering civil ceremonies across the county at weekends and bank holidays. Ceremonies are held in a wide range of locations including our own local authority rooms stately homes golf and country clubs barns and in other unusual locations. You would also be required to register some marriages and civil partnerships in religious buildings. The role includes meeting couples and preparing scripts and other associated paperwork relating to ceremony management.
