Inline Group Inc. has opportunities available for Materials Technician Students starting Spring 2026. In this role youll support materials testing and quality assurance activities including soils aggregates concrete and asphalt in the field and/or laboratory across a variety of industrial and civil projects throughout Canada.

What Youll Be Doing
- Field & Laboratory Testing Conduct quality control and assurance testing on construction materials such as soils aggregates concrete and asphalt to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Sampling & Inspection Prepare and collect representative samples for laboratory analysis and monitor material placement and workmanship on construction projects.
- Quality Monitoring Identify and report any non-conformance issues or deviations to management promptly.
- Safety Leadership Participate actively in Inlines corporate and client HSE programs promoting safe work practices and leading by example in the field and lab.
- Equipment Maintenance Maintain clean and calibrate materials testing equipment and ensure vehicles are kept in good working order.
- Collaboration & Communication Work closely with supervisors clients and team members to support project delivery and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Documentation & Reporting Accurately record field data testing results and observations in compliance with quality control standards and Inlines ISO 9001 Quality Program.
- Continuous Learning Take initiative to develop your technical skills and understanding of materials testing processes through on-the-job training and mentorship.
What Were Looking For
- Education Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Civil Engineering Technology or related program.
- Safety Certifications CSTS 2020 CSO and WHMIS 2015 certifications (Inline will assist in obtaining if required).
- Technical Skills Basic understanding of construction materials testing procedures equipment handling and data recording.
- Communication & Teamwork Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Attention to Detail Organized and accurate in documenting test results and maintaining quality records.
- Physical Readiness Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Drivers License Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract required.
- Willingness to Travel Availability to travel to project sites across Canada for either local or FIFO assignments.
Work Options
- Local Opportunities Work on projects near major hubs and get to be home every night.
- Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) Opportunities Participate in remote project rotations across Canada with flights accommodations and meals provided at no cost. Typical rotations include 14 days on / 14 days off or 14 days on / 7 days off depending on the project.
