Job Summary
Used Car Assistant Purpose: Assist the Used Car Manager to ensure customer retention and the profitability of this profit center by recruiting qualified sales personnel. Will also provide assistance for the responsibility of appraising purchasing reconditioning displaying and merchandising the used vehicle inventory. Used Car Sales Manager / Assistant Manager Duties and Responsibilities: Forecasts goals and objectives for sales gross and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis.
Manage and monitor the used car inventory to maintain accurate records and timely reconditioning.
Support the appraisal purchase and intake of used vehicles.
Utilize the Sims system to track vehicle data update inventory status and generate reports.
Coordinate vehicle staging and display to ensure an attractive and customer-friendly presentation.
Collaborate with the service and sales departments to ensure smooth vehicle flow through the reconditioning process.
Maintain compliance with Sonic Automotive policies procedures and ethical standards.
Provide general administrative and operational assistance to the Used Car Manager and sales team.
Qualifications :
Preferred:
- Prior experience in automotive inventory management sales or dealership operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient computer skills; experience with Sims or other dealership management systems preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Professional attitude and self-motivated work ethic.
- Must be service and detailed oriented.
Required:
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- Valid drivers license and good driving record.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks MVR drug test credit report and valid driver license.
Additional Information :
(The Used Car Assistant Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $23.00.)
Schedule:
- Full Time
- Monday through Saturday availability required
- Days off (Wednesday/Sunday)
- Shift 7:00pm to 4:00pm
