Boskalis is currently looking for a student to start (Medio 2026) their graduation project within the Risk Engineer team at the Project & Tender support department of Boskalis Offshore Energy.
As a risk engineer you are the key player in further developing Boskalis position within the Offshore Energy market. Risk engineers support the tender processes and with that the offers Boskalis submits; we also support projects into achieve their objectives by making sure all the important risks and opportunities are considered. By actively challenging the stakeholders a risk engineer makes a constructive and valued contribution to the tender and project phases. All in order to achieve a smooth project execution with a spot-on risk budget. A key to success is being process-minded able to adapt to different situations and different personalities and work well in a high-pressure environment. You are curious decisive and dare to mention what most people dislike hearing: possible risks or problems.
There is no clearly defined topic but feel free to apply for a graduation thesis at our department and discuss with us what your interest are what drives you and where those interests can be a benefit for joint cooperation we will work out a tailor-made assignment.
Your qualities
- You are doing a Bachelor (hbo or wo) or master study in engineering or other related field;
- Eager to learn project management and risk management concepts.
- It is preferred to be working at our office in Papendrecht 4 days a week.
The following competencies are also important for the role of function:
- Strong analytical skills and willingness to develop further.
- A flexible attitude and ability to handle last-minute information and adjustments.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

- Low threshold to plan meetings with people to gain a better understanding;
- Access to all related Boskalis available Software: Primavera Risk @risk (Monte Carlo);
