The role
As an Expansion Account Manager you will work cross-functionally engaging with teams across Podium including Sales Product Marketing Finance and Strategy. Your primary focus will be on driving growth within our existing customer base through upselling cross-selling and building strong multi-stakeholder relationships.
Youll partner closely with a pod of two Customer Success Managers who manage customer health and retention while you lead the growth strategy for their shared book of business. Youll be equally driven by a customer-centric mindset and a strong desire to achieve expansion revenue targets.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate closely with two CSMs to execute account-specific growth and retention plans.
- Spearhead the expansion and assistance in the adoption of Podiums product suite across small business accounts.
- Identify and close new revenue opportunities within existing customers and target accounts.
- Build deep relationships with your portfolio to uncover needs and deliver value-based solutions across our range of products and services.
- Own your pipeline maintain accurate forecasts track performance and provide clear visibility into expansion and product metrics.
- Partner with your CSMs to conduct warm handoffs and ensure smooth transitions for new customers entering your pod.
- Be a product expert understanding setup requirements and key value drivers for each product to enable adoption and ROI.
- Oversee onboarding for new customers in your portfolio ensuring a seamless and high-value experience.
What you should have:
- Experience in Customer Experience (CX) or Account Management ideally with direct exposure to closing revenue through expansion or upsell opportunities.
- A strong commercial mindset comfortable discussing ROI building business cases and navigating multi-stakeholder buying decisions.
- Proven ability to identify at risk customers drive adoption and activate new opportunities within existing accounts.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment adapting quickly to new products and priorities.
- Excellent presentation communication and stakeholder management skills including at the executive level.
- A consultative problem-solving approach that balances customer advocacy with achieving expansion product and churn targets.
