Admissions Representatives recruit all student prospects including traditional non-traditional first-generation and students of a diverse background. This person will assist with enrollment management goals for the college by recruitment and advisement efforts as well as provide input to the Enrollment Team. This position works with college faculty high school counselors the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management and conduct outreach to business and industry to broaden communication channels. This position is responsible for attaining annual enrollment and placement goals by use of continuous improvement strategies and skills. This person will have a key role in developing innovative approaches to expand access to information about the college. The home campus for this position is Red Wing however periodic travel to support the Winona campusis required. Limited Academic Appointment (January 2025 - March/April 2025)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
Recruit and advise students in all areas of study and programs. Implement the colleges recruitment advisement and enrollment plan. Collaborate with the enrollment team to assist alignment of efforts with the departments strategy and continually advise students on enrollment requirements.
Provide college programs overview. Perform recruiting and advisement activities including representing the college virtually both on and off campus at high schools college/career programs community events business expositions and other events. Correspond with existing prospective and new applicants. Oversee and respond to inquiries from Enrollment Services email. Coordinate virtual and both on and off campus visits for area high school students first-generation non-traditional students and Alternative Learning Center (ALC) schools. Assist early college initiative efforts including but not limited to distribution of applications advisement course registrations progress reports. Provide advising services to current students and prospective students and conduct presentation sessions as necessary. When appropriate refer students to faculty advisors student support services and financial aid. Build and maintain positive relationships with faculty to assist with advising consultation and information services.
Coordinates activities and career fairs. Coordinate open houses and information sessions for the College. Plan and schedule visits with high school students non-traditional students first-generation and works with the Director of Diversity and Inclusion to enhance a diverse student body.
Recruitment and outreach to encourage students from diverse backgrounds including veterans returning adults with no degree economically disadvantaged first generation populations and to advise on preparedness. Work with local/surrounding community organizations and businesses to promote and provide college accessible resources to students such as Financial Aid Counseling services and The Academic Success Center for support services.
Coordinate and organize Online-in-the-High School admissions programs in collaboration with the Director of Secondary Relations.
Develop positive and professional partnerships with a variety of people and organizations; provide program outreach and informational presentations with all stakeholders including school districts students and families home school co-ops and other outside agencies. Provide holistic student support and services to include monitoring coaching advocacy and advising for academic growth to ensure successful recruitment retention matriculation and completion.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
