STV is seeking a CAD Technician to support infrastructure and transportation projects in the Glasgow KY region. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical drafting working with engineering teams and contributing to real-world construction and transportation projectswithout needing a four-year engineering degree.
The CAD Technician will assist engineers and project teams by preparing drawings plans and technical exhibits in accordance with project standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and modify CAD drawings plans details and exhibits for transportation and infrastructure projects
Support roadway site and civil engineering design efforts under the direction of engineers and designers
Assist with the preparation of construction documents layouts profiles cross-sections and plan sheets
Maintain organized drawing files and ensure compliance with STV CAD standards and project requirements
Incorporate redlines and revisions accurately and efficiently
Coordinate with engineers designers and project managers to meet project schedules and deliverables
Perform basic quantity takeoffs and assist with technical documentation as needed
Follow quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency of all drawings
Support laboratory testing staff with routine lab testing
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree or coursework in CAD drafting civil engineering technology or a related field preferred but not required
Prior experience in a CAD or drafting role is a plus; entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude will be considered
Ability to follow drafting standards instructions and established workflows
Qualifications & Skills
Experience or familiarity with AutoCAD MicroStation and OpenRoads (transportation or civil design experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawing tasks
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
Ability to interpret markups sketches and technical direction from engineers
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Willingness to learn new tools standards and procedures
Compensation Range:
$61704.00 - $82272.00
