Job Summary
Registered Nurse CVOR
Location: Akron OH 44307
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 410-hour (07:00 17:30)
Pay Rate: $2606 per week (gross)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong open-heart and vascular experience proficiency in both scrub and circulate roles and a proven ability to provide high-quality perioperative patient care in a fast-paced cardiovascular operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures.
Scrub and circulate for open-heart and vascular cases as needed.
Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms during procedures.
Participate in pre-operative intra-operative and post-operative patient care.
Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and critical thinking under pressure.
Adhere to all hospital policies safety guidelines and infection control standards.
Work at least every other holiday as scheduled.
Qualifications
Minimum 18 months of recent CVOR experience required.
Open-heart and vascular experience preferred.
Must have at least 18 months of permanent (non-travel) CVOR experience prior to first travel assignment.
Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation.
Education
BSN or ASN required.
Certifications & Licensure
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS required
CCRN required
CNOR required
