Job Title:Human Resource Consultant 2 (HRC2) Programs Support - Non-Permanent (Minimum one (1) year duration)
Location: Olympia WA (The position will be working primarily remotely but may be required to attend HR program-related in-person meetings occasionally)

Salary:$4882.00 - $6576.00 Monthly

The Opportunity:

This is a newly created position that will support the HR Programs Administrator and four HR Programs centralized teams. The position assists both internal and external customers seeking information and assistance related to the functions and activities of the DCYF HR Programs section. This specialized position also provides independent professional and technical support to all of the HR Programs teams.


Some of what you will get to do:

  • Independently creates organizes and maintains a filing and tracking system for HR Programs actions assignments and status.
  • Create documentation and presentations pertaining to HR Programs work.
  • Prepare regular reports for the HR Programs teams.
  • Manage and distribute notices related to work pertaining to each HR Programs team.
  • Independently evaluates responds and resolves complex Human Resource related issues and questions pertaining to assigned work of the HR Programs Units.
  • Ensure data accuracy by reviewing all documents for compliance with WACs CBAs and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with DCYF Human Resource teams and stakeholders to ensure responses to inquiries are accurate and timely.
  • Creates general information and communication for internal and external stakeholders from the HR Programs Units.
  • Coordinate schedule and attend events for the Talent Acquisition team.

Required Qualifications:

Equivalent education and experience totaling five (5) years of progressively responsible paid professional experience in Human Resources* or related field.


OR

One (1) year as Human Resource Consultant 1 (HRC1).


AND

Commitment to equity inclusion and respectful workplace principles.


*Education must be with an emphasis on business or public administration human resources social or organizational behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience providing consultation and administrative support within a Human Resources Office.
  • Working knowledge of HR related WACs RCWs Federal Laws agency policies and procedures and CBAs.
