The Role

The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their successful department from January 2026. The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 35 with the opportunity to deliver their specialist subject (Biology Chemistry or Physics) at A Level.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that stretch high-ability learners.
  • Inspire pupils to develop a deep understanding and love of Science.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning enrichment activities and academic competitions.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE and A Level examinations.
  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school including clubs trips and science events.

This post would suit an experienced teacher or an early career teacher looking to develop within a high-performing academic environment.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE).
  • Have strong subject knowledge and the ability to challenge and inspire high-achieving pupils.
  • Demonstrate a passion for Science and for supporting academic excellence.
  • Have experience teaching A Level (or the potential to do so with support).
  • Be committed to maintaining the schools high academic and pastoral standards.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
