Location: Austin TX 73301

Shift: 12-hr Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

The RN PACU Manager is a working manager responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role ensures high-quality patient care while managing staff resources and departmental operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee staffing assignments in accordance with department objectives and policies to ensure effective coverage and maintain productivity targets.
Review and approve personnel performance appraisals including establishing goals for each employee.
Regularly review and revise departmental manuals policies/procedures standing orders and protocols with input from appropriate stakeholders.
Monitor the condition of facilities and take corrective actions to resolve existing or potential problems.
Participate in Process Improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Support management decisions by acting as a change agent through role modeling.
Maintain current professional growth through independent study and continuing education programs.
Participate in budget management and inventory control.
Engage in staff development and self-development activities.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Texas
Certifications Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Experience: Previous PACU or critical care experience.
