Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med-Surg team. The RN will deliver high-quality patient-centered care working collaboratively with medical providers and the care team. Using established nursing models-Assess Perform Teach and Manage-you will provide personalized care advocate for patients and families and uphold the organizations vision mission and values to ensure positive clinical outcomes and an outstanding patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition at admission and each scheduled shift; promptly identify and report any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures monitoring and other medical functions as ordered by providers ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the patients medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications monitor for therapeutic response and take appropriate action in case of adverse effects.
- Respond promptly to patient requests anticipate needs proactively and resolve concerns to provide exceptional care.
- Educate patients families and caregivers on medical conditions treatment plans medications side effects and follow-up measures ensuring understanding and adherence.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Med-Surg RN experience is required.
- Certifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Additional certifications (e.g. ACLS PALS) are a plus.
