Job Summary

Hybrid- 3 days per week onsite; days will vary

Job Description:
Develop and deliver new component designs and design changes for high-performance gas turbine gears (and related transmission components such as shafts bearings seals) including creation of design concepts optimisation final definition drawings/model-based definitions and hardware release.
Perform strength lifing durability and performance analyses to validate component suitability for new engine applications or life extension of existing ones.
Manage dimensional tolerance stacks GD&T and tolerance analysis to ensure fit function and manufacturability of gear systems.
Interface with manufacturing quality supply chain and aftermarket teams: review supplier documentation assess non-conforming hardware handle change proposals support production and service issues.
Conduct investigations of in-service or prototype hardware issues including failure analysis root cause & corrective action (RCCA) and implement design improvements.
Present and defend design solutions to programme leadership collaborate across multi-discipline teams (analysis manufacturing materials MRO etc.).
Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace design standards safety and product integrity principles.

Gas Turbine Experience
Engineering/ Aerospace Designs

Experience:
5 years
Gas Turbine
Competitor Experience- Preferred

Education:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or related field. (Masters or PhD in a relevant discipline may substitute for experience.)
Several years (depending on level) of mechanical/component design experience preferably in gear systems rotating equipment or aerospace applications.
