JOB TITLE: Import Compliance Support
LOCATION: Fort Worth TX
PAY RATE: $32-36/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary:

• Process routine entry instruction requests.

• Research and correct missing or incorrect data related to import shipments.

• Resolve routine inquiries and requests from internal customers.

• Manage shared email communications.

• Escalate non-routine or complex scenarios as needed.

• Review inbound invoices for accuracy.

• Classify products under HTSUS for proper tariff assignment.

• Identify and verify IOR and necessary data elements for entry compliance.

• Provide document tracking and status updates to internal stakeholders.

• Communicate professionally with multiple parties across departments.

• Perform additional functions as specifically assigned.

• Detail-oriented with strong focus on accuracy and compliance.

• Organized and responsive when handling documentation and requests.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Requirements:

• 2-year degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred.

• 2 3 years of experience working with brokerage providers and freight forwarders for U.S. import processing.

• 2 3 years of experience applying principles from 19 CFR (Parts52).

• 2 3 years of experience using the HTSUS for basic product classifications.

• 2 3 years of experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel) at an intermediate level.

• SAP/GTS experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of brokerage provider and freight forwarder processes.

• Ability to review inbound invoices for accuracy.

• Skilled in classifying products correctly under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).

• Ability to identify the Importer of Record (IOR) and required data elements for right to make entry.

• Knowledge of required commercial invoice elements and their purpose.

• Familiarity with CBP publications and Informed Compliance materials including:

  • Explanatory Notes

  • CROSS

  • Federal Register

  • Customs Bulletin

• Ability to locate read and apply 19 CFR for straightforward import processes.

• Understanding of brokerage provider/freight forwarder workflows and related documentation.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
