We are currently seeking a talented Sr MP Specialist with a strong background in mechanical piping Plumbing & Mechanical Piping coordination/fabrication to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Job Summary:

As a Sr MP Specialist you will play a pivotal part in the utilization of BIM technology uniting professionals throughout the AEC industry. Working closely with project teams your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing the virtual design and construction (VDC) workflow ensuring smooth coordination and enhancing project efficiency. Moreover the BIM Specialist will contribute to the development implementation and maintenance of BIM standards and processes at BIMTM.

Responsibilities:

MP BIM/VDC Integration: Lead the seamless Plumbing & Mechanical Piping systems into BIM models ensuring data accuracy and clash-free coordination.
Coordination: Oversee coordination of Plumbing & Mechanical Piping systems with other disciplines resolving clashes and conflicts to create a well-coordinated and optimized BIM model.
Fabrication: Experience in modeling coordination and spooling for prefabrication.
BIM Standards Development: Develop and enforce MEP-specific BIM standards protocols and best practices fostering consistency and quality across all projects.
Model Management: Manage the creation and maintenance of MEP BIM models ensuring accurate representation of mechanical components and systems.
BIM Software Expertise: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in MEP BIM/VDC software exploring new tools and technologies to improve project outcomes.
Collaboration: Facilitate seamless collaboration and communication between MEP Field and Project Management by promoting effective information exchange and coordination.
Performance Analysis: Monitor project performance metrics through BIM analysis and reporting providing insights for continuous improvement.
Quality Control: Conduct comprehensive reviews of Plumbing & Mechanical Piping BIM models to ensure accuracy completeness and adherence to established standards.
Detailing and Documentation: Develop and produce detailed construction drawings and documentation based on BIM models. Ensure that drawings adhere to industry standards and project specifications including dimensioning annotations and other relevant details.
Software Proficiency: Stay up to date with the latest BIM software and tools and continuously improve proficiency in their usage. Train and assist team members in using BIM software to ensure a consistent and efficient workflow.
Deadline Management: Prioritize and manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines. Communicate any challenges or delays to project managers and collaborate on solutions to ensure timely completion.
Problem Solving: Identify and address issues or discrepancies in BIM models and working with team members to resolve issues when needed. Support for advanced / workflow specific topics is expected and will be provided.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Associates degree required Bachelors degree preferred in related field such as Architecture Engineering or Construction Management.
3-5 years of BIM/VDC Experience leading MEP Coordination for large commercial construction projects.
Proficiency with BIM software ( Navisworks AutoCAD Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360) and related plugins is a plus.
Proven and recent expertise in the process workflow and utilization of Autodesk Fabrication parts.
Strong background in MEP systems coordination within BIM models.
Strong understanding of construction documents and the Design/Construction process.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal tailored to the intended audience.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to creatively solve problems navigate ambiguity and prioritize work.
Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining top-quality deliverables.
Familiarity with sustainable building practices and industry certifications is advantageous.
Experience with Laser Scanning Drones and Total Stations is a plus.
