As an IT Help Desk Technician you will play a vital role in providing technical support and assistance to our faculty staff and students. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues ensuring that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently which is crucial for delivering quality education. We offer a competitive salary range of $25000 - $75000 annually commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to users via phone email and chat
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
- Assist in the setup and configuration of new devices
- Document and track support requests in the help desk system
- Maintain and update technical documentation and knowledge base
- Collaborate with other IT team members on complex issues
- Educate users on best practices and technology usage
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
