Our client is a leading Australian specialist in hydraulic and civil plumbing design and construction delivering reliable and cost-effective solutions for large-scale commercial residential and infrastructure projects across Queensland and New South Wales.
With a reputation for technical excellence and attention to detail they are expanding their offshore design capability and are looking for a Civil & Hydraulic Design Engineer to support their Australian engineering team.
The Civil & Hydraulic Design Engineer will work closely with Australian engineers project managers and construction teams to produce accurate and coordinated hydraulic and civil documentation.
This position is ideal for an engineer with at least 3 years of experience in civil or hydraulic design strong technical software skills and familiarity with Australian standards and codes.
Design Review and Optimization
Review IFT (Issued for Tender) and IFC (Issued for Construction) consultant drawings to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
Optimize pipe pump and equipment sizing for constructability and cost-effectiveness.
Shop Drawing Preparation
Prepare detailed shop and set-out drawings for:
Sewer and stormwater drainage
Domestic cold and hot water systems
Non-potable water rainwater and irrigation systems
Fire and gas services
Penetration drawings
Ensure drawings align with the latest architectural layouts and FFE schedules.
Coordination and Clash Detection
Overlay hydraulic and civil drawings with structural and other services drawings to detect and resolve clashes.
Coordinate updates with internal and external stakeholders.
Documentation and Revisions
Manage drawing revisions and issue IFC shop drawings following consultant or builder feedback.
Maintain organized drawing records revision logs and documentation control.
Quantity and Material Take-offs
Prepare accurate material take-offs and quantity schedules.
Support procurement and estimating teams as needed.
Collaboration and Communication
Liaise regularly with project and contract management teams for progress updates and issue resolution.
Support tendering and project bid documentation when required.
Bachelors degree in Civil Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience in civil and/or hydraulic design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit H2X and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of Australian plumbing and building regulations (AS/NZS 3500).
Proven experience preparing and coordinating hydraulic shop drawings.
Excellent English communication and documentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to technical problem-solving.
PHP 50000 to 60000 per month
Full-time work-from-home setup (equipment provided)
