Position Summary
The Assistant Director is responsible for developing and supporting programs that connect our students faculty staff and alumni to the greater community. The Assistant Director will ensure that the Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement will serve as the nexus for community-based initiatives and civically-engaged learning at UNC Greensboro.
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant Masters degree with minimum of two years of directly related full-time professional experience or equivalent combination of relevant undergraduate degree and directly related full-time professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree with minimum of five years of directly related full-time professional experience or equivalent. Demonstrated expertise working with diverse populations Demonstrated expertise in engaged pedagogies at the university level and in student leadership development Demonstrated expertise in the body of knowledge related to leadership development community/volunteer service service-learning civic learning and democratic engagement and/or social justice Exemplary oral and written communication skills Demonstrated expertise in managing staff budgets program planning and program evaluation Demonstrated expertise in assessing program outcomes and student learning High energy excellent follow-through commitment to collaborative and inclusive work
